We've had a busy weekend. It started Friday night with a trip to a local consignment sale.
I didn't find the double stroller I was looking for, but I did get a few things for Luke's winter wardrobe.
If you could see Aubrey's closet, you'd know why I didn't buy anything for her :)
Ryan had some daddy bonding time with the kids while I was shopping; I think they wore him out...
this is what I found when I came home
Saturday, we got out Aubrey's floor gym
to see how she'd like it.
After the initial shock and awe wore off...
I think she enjoyed it
Saturday night, I went to a girls night out at Sips n Strokes.
I love my babies, but it's nice to have a baby-free couple of hours every once in a while!
I have no artistic skills what so ever, but we had a blast attempting to paint.
I think this painting turned out better than the one I did a couple of years ago, but I still need to work on the blending concept & making sure there isn't any bare canvas showing.
Here's my masterpiece
Sunday after church our small group had a pool party.
We were worried how Luke would react to the pool, because it took him several weeks to warm up to his inflatable pool, and the last time he was in a real pool was over 3 months ago and he wasn't too fond of it.
Much to our surprise, he loved it!
He wasn't afraid in the least and was swimming around like an old pro.

Sounds like a busy weekend. I love Sips n Strokes I have to go back soon it's been to long.
That sounds like an all-around perfect weekend! I forgot about the sale this past weekend, but I had been in no shape to go anyway.
Great pictures!!
I did Sips and Strokes one time. It was so much fun. My art was not good at all, but it was fun. My mom and sister and I went together and Jill's really turned out great. She does it quite a lot and is really good.
I love the picture of the baby with her mouth open. It does look like shock and awe.
awe!!! aubreys eyes when she first saw her gym thing are hilarious!!! the daddy and babies sleeping picture is priceless!!! Luke looked like he LOVED the pool!!! i loveeee you! kiss from aunt kat!
The sleeping picture is adorable. I loved catching mys husband "asleep on the job."
The gym picture is hysterical. I love her eyes! Too funny!
The picture you painted is cool. It has a very movie poster feel to it to me. :)
Oh my goodness...cuteness overload! I love the photos of your daughter in the playgym!!!
Ok first of all, sips n strokes is for drinking alcohol and painting (im guessing you did not partake in the alcohol part)and second, seeing luke in the pool makes me REALLY miss yall living in Auburn when i could come over every day and take Luke to the pool (not by myself of course) I guess being in grad school and having a BS in CHILD AND FAMILY DEVELOPMENT still doesnt make me able to babysit my OWN NEPHEW ugh!!!!
I love the picture of everyone sleeping! I hate we missed the pool party. Can I start crying now. :(
Loved the way your painting came out! Great job! I was glad we got to do it; it was so fun! Also, love, love, love the sleeping with daddy pic! Priceless!
